A super easy homemade chocolate recipe to make at home. Perfect for those who are trying to ‘eat clean’, dairy free and trying to avoid refined sugar. Cacao contains flavonoids, antioxidant compounds which are said to protect against cell damage caused by free-radicals and not to forget the goodness from the blueberries, coconuts and seeds on the top.
Perfect for dessert or an after dinner treat,
Preparation time: 10 minutes plus 2 hours freezing time
METHOD
½ cup coconut oil
⅔ cup raw cacao
¼ cup honey (add more or less depending on how sweet you like it)
1 tbs tahini
Pinch of sea salt
½ cup blueberries (fresh or frozen, organic if possible)
Shredded coconut
Flax seeds
Pumpkin seeds
INGREDIENTS
Melt the coconut oil in a saucepan until just melted, leave to cool for 5 minutes
Add to a bowl the cacao, honey, tahini and sea salt
Line a baking tray with baking parchment
Top with the blueberries, shredded coconut, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds and anything else that you fancy
Place in the freezer for 1 - 2 hours
Break into shards and enjoy
Store the remainder in the freezer and remove it about 15 minutes before you want to eat.
